Fertilizer schedule

Fertilizer Schedule Builder

Pick a crop and your sowing or transplanting date. The builder turns the verified recommendation for your country into a stage-wise application schedule — what goes in as basal, what is top-dressed or fertigated later, and on which dates.

Schedules use the country selected at the top of the site. Change the country there to see another country's official schedule.

Application method

Drill all P2O5, all K2O and 1/3 N at sowing. Apply remaining N with first and second irrigation. Source notes: N: irrigated 120-160 kg/ha (50-65 kg/acre, 2.5-3 bags urea); barani 60-90 kg/ha. P2O5 35-46 kg/acre (1.5-2 bags DAP); K2O 20-26 kg/acre (1 bag SOP). Varieties: Akbar-19, Dilkash-20, Ghazi-19, Fakhar-e-Bhakkar. Zones: Punjab (irrigated & barani), Sindh, KPK, Balochistan. Country context: Pakistan (per-acre source values converted to per-hectare ×2.47105).

Timing

Basal at sowing (0 DAS): 100% P2O5 + 100% K2O + 1/3 N. 1st irrigation / crown root initiation (20-25 DAS): 1/3 N. 2nd irrigation / stem elongation (50-55 DAS): 1/3 N (complete N before booting).

Fertilizer schedule — frequently asked questions

A fertilizer schedule splits a crop's total fertilizer dose across its growth stages — a basal dose at sowing or transplanting, then top-dressings or fertigation at stages such as tillering, flowering and fruit development — instead of applying everything at once.
Nitrogen moves in soil and is lost to leaching and volatilization, so extension services split it across the stages when the crop needs it. Phosphorus and potash barely move in soil, so they are usually applied in full as a basal dose. Every schedule on this page comes from a published official recommendation for the crop and country shown.
Each stage's offset comes from the source recommendation (for example, 30 days after transplanting). When you enter your sowing or transplanting date, the builder adds that offset to your date. Stages whose source gives no day offset are shown without a date — a date is never guessed.
The schedule shows the verified stage split and the total dose. For exact urea, DAP and MOP quantities and 50 kg bags for your field size, run the fertilizer calculator — it shows the split-dose schedule with amounts.
