Map Area Calculator — Measure Land Area on the Map
Draw your field boundary on a free map and get its area instantly — in acres, hectares, square meters, and regional units. No account, no fees. Works like a Google Earth square footage calculator: draw your field on the map and read off the area in square feet, acres, or hectares.
Choose your country so regional units (like Kanal and Marla in Pakistan) are shown, then open the interactive map. Tapping places boundary points — drag them to adjust.
Free forever — map data by OpenStreetMap contributors.
How map measurement works
- Open the map and find your field — search is not needed; pan and zoom to it, or center on your location.
- Tap the map to place boundary points around the field. Drag any point to adjust it; tap a numbered point to remove it.
- With 3 or more points the area is calculated with geodesic (earth-curvature-correct) math — the same for any latitude.
- Use the area in the Land Area Calculator, then in the Fertilizer Dose or Profit Calculator.
About the map
The map uses OpenStreetMap, a free community-built world map — it is not Google Maps, and this tool has no affiliation with Google. Tiles load only while you measure.
FAQs
Tap the map to drop boundary points around your field. Once you have at least 3 points, the tool computes the enclosed area using geodesic mathematics that accounts for the earth's curvature — accurate at any latitude, unlike flat-screen measuring.
No. It is a useful estimate based on where you place the points and the map imagery alignment. For legal disputes, land records, or official transactions, hire a qualified local surveyor.
No. The map is powered by OpenStreetMap, a free and open community map. There is no Google Maps integration and no affiliation with Google.
Yes — the “Use This Area” button sends the measured area to the Land Area Calculator, from where it flows into the Fertilizer Dose Calculator and Profit Calculator. Area alone never produces a fertilizer recommendation; a verified crop and region are still required.
No. Boundary points live only in your browser's memory while you measure. Only the final area number is transferred between tools — your coordinates are never saved publicly, put in shareable links, or sent to our servers.
